Leeds and Partners were looking for a Christmas campaign to unite the city, inspire people to visit, and increase footfall and spending. From a range of concepts, ‘Magical Leeds’ was developed into an integrated campaign, targeted nationally and locally. Designed to highlight the range of culture and shopping available, the campaign was supported by a broad range of local partners who, equipped with the Magical Leeds toolkit helped to spread the festive spirit. To create a truly enchanting and interactive experience, a city-wide installation was put in place, inviting visitors to discover 16 individually designed, life-size 3D model reindeer. Each reindeer was sponsored and styled by a different city partner, including retail destinations Trinity Leeds, The Light, and Harvey Nichols. The campaign proved so successful that it was re-run the following year.
